The Gordon Spearitt Prize for Musicology was awarded today at the Musicology Society of Australia Queensland Chapters Annual student Symposium to Music Theatre composer Simon Chan a PhD candidate at QUT for his paper: The Scapegoat in Musical Theatre. An excellent selection of extremely diverse papers were presented. Many thanks to our expert judging panel: Sarah Collins (UQ), Mike Howlett (QUT) & Narelle McCoy (GU) and the MSAQ Committee for organising an interestind day of Musicological research.
